I'm a philosopher of science, which (broadly) means I look at questions such as what science is, what the rationale is behind scientific arguments, what values scientists look for in a theory, and what the relationship is and should be between science and society. I'm currently a tenured Associate Professor in the Department of Interdisciplinary Studies and Liberal Studies (ISLS) as well as the Department of Philosophy at California State University, Northridge.

I received my Ph.D. in Philosophy and Science Studies from the University of California, San Diego, under the supervision of Nancy Cartwright. Others on my dissertation committee were Craig Callender, Christian Wüthrich, Cathy Gere, Tal Golan, and Hasok Chang. Before that, I completed my Masters and Undergraduate degrees in physics in India.

When I'm not doing philosophy, I like to dabble in Indian classical music.
